Easily migrate your Ad Agency data from Joomla 1.5 to Joomla 2.5
If you think that migrating your site to Joomla 2.5 is hard and complicated… you’re right. So we’ve tried to make it easier, at least when it comes to moving your Joomla extensions’ data to the Joomla 2.5 platform.
As a user of iJoomla Ad Agency, you’ve probably accumulated a significant amount of data in your on your Joomla 1.5 site.Our new Ad Agency migration tool allows you move most of that data easily. Which data will be migrated:
- Zones
- Advertisers

- 1000 last visits
What is not migrated:
- Banner files: You'll have to download this directory /images/stories/ad_agency/ from the Joomla 1.5 site and upload them via FTP to the same location on the Joomla 2.5 site
- Any records beyond the last 1000: The Ad Agency database is too large for migration because each visit generates a record. That means the stats on the Joomla 2.5 site will not be complete and will include only the last 1000 records (visits).
How It Works

2. Migrate your Joomla 1.5 to Joomla 2.5 site using JUpgrade
- You can download JUpgrade free here
3. Export your data
- Install the migration tool on your Joomla 1.5
- Go to components -> iJoomla MigrateAdagency

Click the red export button (1)Choose iJoomla Ad Agency from the drop down menu and click Start
4. Import the data
- Login to the new Joomla 2.5 site
- Install iJoomla Ad Agency (download the new version here)
- Install the same migration tool on your new Joomla 2.5
- Go to components -> iJoomla Migrate Ad Agency
- Click the blue Import button (2)
- Choose the file you've exported earlier and click Start.
5. Make sure all the data was migrated properly by visiting you iJoomla Ad Agency
- Check that all the advertisers are there
- Check that all the ads are there
- Check that all the campaigns are there
- Check that all the zones are there
6. Migrate the banner/ad files
- Using FTP, download this directory /images/stories/ad_agency/ from your Joomla 1.5 site and upload it to the same location on your Joomla 2.5 site.
