The new version of Ad Agency is out now and contains some important bug fixes for the new reporting system.
We've been working hard on getting those pesky bugs out of the system for the last few weeks. Our support and engineering teams have been monitoring the forums and made notes of everything that needed fixing.
Joomla 3.3 that was released a couple of days ago, presented a problem with the login/session function of Ad Agency.
The good news: we have a fix for this issue, so please upgrade your Ad Agency to version 5.0.3 ASAP. Even if you don't plan to upgrade to Joomla 3.3, your site may get upgraded without your knowledge, when you attempt to upgrade to 3.2.4 because of a bug in Joomla, see image below.
Development – Done!
We’ve finished the development for Ad Agency for Joomla 3.x! Yes, it took us a while. But that’s only because we didn’t just make it work for Joomla 3.x, which was a significant change. We also bootstrapped it back and front, and added responsive design. That’s a lot of work… but boy, was it worth it!
We have just released a new version of Ad Agency for Joomla 2.5, version 3.1.0! This version has a ton of new features and enhancements and of course a few bug fixes as well. You can see a full list of everything that’s new on our change log, but here are the highlights:
Easily migrate your Ad Agency data from Joomla 1.5 to Joomla 2.5
If you think that migrating your site to Joomla 2.5 is hard and complicated… you’re right. So we’ve tried to make it easier, at least when it comes to moving your Joomla extensions’ data to the Joomla 2.5 platform.
As a user of iJoomla Ad Agency, you’ve probably accumulated a significant amount of data in your on your Joomla 1.5 site. Our new Ad Agency migration tool allows you move most of that data easily. Instead of messing with databases and spending lots of time and resources testing and checking and correcting, this tool gets everything done in just thirty seconds!
It took us a while but we’ve finally managed to implement recurring payments in Ad Agency. Now, when an advertiser reaches the end of a time-limited campaign, such as a monthly placement, they’ll be charged again through Paypal and a new campaign will begin automatically.
We get lots of suggestions from our customers for features and Joomla enhancements that they’d like to see. We try to act on those suggestions whenever possible.
We’ve now acted on the request that we see most often.
We’ve integrated JomSocial with Ad Agency!
This revolutionary version of Ad Agency will help you take your advertising program to the next level — guaranteed!
On our latest version, version 2.0.12, we've stopped using MooTools and switched to jQuery.
There are several things we have thought of before making these changes:
On our never ending quest to improve the usability of Ad Agency, we keep finding ways to make it more intuitive on both the back and front end. We've noticed that a pretty common scenario is to add a zone and immediately want to ads on it on a campaign, the problem is that if the zone is not a part of the package that the campaign was created with, you won't be able to assign these ads to this new zone.
One of the most common concerns Ad Agency users have is regarding the size of their Ad Agency database. The database gets pretty big after a while because Ad Agency records many numbers:
Due to high demand, on version 2.0.10 we've added a new feature to allow you to limit the amount of ads the advertisers can select for a campaign. By the default, the amount is unlimited, but you can limit it to 1-20 ads per campaign.
It’s been a long time coming but it’s here now! In version 2.0.6, we’ve added two new templates to our library of automated emails. One template is for admin; the other for advertisers.
Within 24 hours of a campaign ending both the advertiser and the admin will receive an automated email.
In our quest to keep making iJoomla Ad Agency more user-friendly, we have been working on a front end, and we’ve been picking up a lot of good feedback from real users (special thanks to Jens Kirk!)
